9/24/2025 Breakfast, dinner-Dishoom

9/24/2025  I wasn't feeling well and slept until 12:00 pm.  Breakfast was the croissants that I got from PAUL yesterday.  They were good.  Scrapped plans to go to the British Museum.  I'm disappointed that I just don't feel up to it today.

I really wanted to have a meal at Dishoom.  They only take reservations for dinner for groups of 6 or more.  Otherwise it's walk in.  They do take reservations for times earlier.  I booked our table for 5:00 pm.  So no sightseeing today.  Breakfast, relax/rest, then dinner.

Dishoom.  Place is busy but there are some empty tables.  We ordered sparkling water and some ginger/lemon/honey tea.  Garlic naan.  With the naan we got 3 different dipping sauces.  It was really good but we only got 2 pieces so I'm sorry I didn't order more.  Steamed basmati rice.  Chicken ruby.  The chicken was very tender-delicious.   House black daal.  All the food came to the table in pots with lids.  I expected the food to be hot.  It was not.  Lukewarm.  It was tasty-good but I like my food hot not lukewarm  I was disappointed.  Dishoom did not live up to all the hype about it that I had read.  Cost 56.59£  (The curry that my daughter made for me when she visited was much better)

I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day.  I have booked tickets for a guided tour of Parliament.  And I want to do a return visit to Westminster Abbey.  Despite not doing much I walked .10 miles today.
